Azerbaijan says released Iranian truck drivers![]() October 21, 2021 - 13:09 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan has released two Iranian truck drivers detained in September on an interstate road through Armenia, Sputnik Azerbaijan reports citing the State Customs Committee of the country. Azerbaijani police deployed on the road detained the truck drivers on the Goris-Kapan highway in Armenia's Syunik province on September 15, accusing them of transporting goods to Nagorno-Karabakh. Azerbaijanis are checking Iranian trucks passing along this road, demanding payments from drivers. Since then, relations between Tehran and Baku have deteriorated sharply. The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington. The CSTO budget for the current year requires adjustments due to the refusal of Yerevan to pay their share of contributions. Six total incidents have burned 19 old-growth trees. Friday night 8 trees were torched along the beautiful main entrance.
