Azerbaijani army deploys artillery against Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - The situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border remains tense as of 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 16, the Defense Ministry reports, with the Azerbaijani side deploying artillery, armored vehicles and firearms of different caliber to shell the Armenian positions of Syunik.

Azerbaijan launched a new provocation in the province of Syunik on Tuesday, shelling the Armenian positions at the same time, the Defense Ministry reported earlier. The Armenian side has opened retaliatory fire to hinder the Azerbaijani military's advancement.

The Defense Ministry said the Armenian side has taken "adequate actions". As a result of intense exchange of fire, the enemy has lost armored vehicles, it added.
