Polish OSCE Chairmanship welcomes Armenia-Azerbaijan meeting

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Polish chairmanship of the OSCE has welcomed the recent meeting between Armenia and Azerbaijan facilitated by the European Union.

"Direct dialogue is a prerequisite to normalizing relations and preparing a comprehensive peace agreement," the Polish chairmanship said on Twitter Monday, May 23.

"We remain ready to assist efforts to guarantee a peaceful, democratic and prosperous future for the South Caucasus."

President of the European Council Charles Michel, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev held their third meeting since December in Brussels on Sunday, May 22 and focused on the situation in the South Caucasus and the development of EU relations with both countries as well as the broader region.
