UNDP to open office, Iran to establish consulate in Syunik

PanARMENIAN.Net - UNDP will open an office in the southern Armenian province of Syunik, while Iran will soon establish a consulate in Kapan, the provincial capital, governor Robert Ghukasyan told reporters on Friday, June 10.

Ghukasyan said the European Union and the United States are implementing a number of programs with the province, which also has a $4 million agreement the World Food Program.

The governor noted that four heads of diplomatic missions will travel to Syunik in the near future to discuss social and economic matters with local authorities.
