Magnitude 2․4 quake hits Armenia's north![]() July 5, 2022 - 12:45 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A 2․4-magnitude earthquake struck the area near the village of Ashotsk in Armenia's Shirak province on Tuesday, July 4 morning, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports. The tremor happened at a depth of 10 km below the surface. It has not caused any damage, but was felt by some people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter. Weak shaking was felt in several other communities of Shirak, as well as in the provincial capital of Gyumri. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
