Any change in current Karabakh status quo will lead to destabilization

PanARMENIAN.Net - The international community knows that any change in current status quo in Kharabakh will lead to destabilization and even to war, an Armenian historian said. At worst, we can lose NKR which may lead also to lose of RA as a state," Director of Institute of History at RA NAS Ashot Melkonyan told journalists in Yerevan. He equated the status of NKR to status of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) where recognition is the only solution. "Baku statements are only for domestic use. Those 40 or 50 thousand Azeris who used to live in Nagorno Karabakh before 1988 know that they will never return," Melkonyan said.
