Karabakh-Armenia corridor remains blocked

PanARMENIAN.Net - The interstate road connecting Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) remained blocked as of Tuesday, December 13 morning, Karabakh’s Interior Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

“As a result of the Azerbaijani provocation, the Republic of Artsakh has been under a de facto blockade for a day and the rights of thousands of citizens have been violated,” the statement reads.

“Due to the situation, civilians coming from Armenia to Artsakh spent the night in Goris, some of them, including women and children, in Lisagor community of Shushi region.”

The Lachin corridor was blocked on Monday for the second time by a group of Azerbaijanis who cited “environmental reasons” for the move.
