Armenia yet to decide about COP29 participation in Azerbaijan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia is still undecided about whether it will participate in the COP29 climate change conference in Baku, the Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan told reporters on Tuesday, October 22, Armenpress reports.

“We don’t have such a decision. We must discuss and understand what for we are going there, what it would give Armenia, what interests we have and on which level we are going to participate. Nevertheless, the invitation to participate in COP29 is not Azerbaijan’s monopoly, it is not an Azerbaijani event, it is a United Nations event. The Republic of Armenia is a member of the United Nations. I say again, we don’t have a decision yet, we will discuss and understand,” Simonyan said.
