Armenian Labor Socialist Party Leader confident of collecting 7% of votes

PanARMENIAN.Net - "People should believe our party only, as other political forces were already given a chance to be a ruling force. Some of them are still among ruling political forces. Elections of May 31 will become an assessment of the work they've done," Labor Socialist Party Leader Movses Shakhverdyan told a news conference. He also added that Labor Socialist Party needs trust of people at the oncoming lections into the Council of Elders, and that the party will prove to be worthy of trust.

As for parties' rating, provided by results of social researches, Shakhverdyan believes that ANC, RA Republican Party, Prosperous Armenia and Labor Socialist Party have a chance to overcome the 7% barrier. As for ARF Dashnaktsutyun and Orinats Erkir, the parties have exhausted themselves and have no real chance for victory, Shakhverdyan believes.

When questioned by PanARMENIAN.Net reporters, whether the elections can be considered an administrative or political event, Shakverdyan responded that any elections, be they village administration head elections, or those of a president, should be viewed as a purely political process.
