Azerbaijan criticizes Armenia’s Constitution and arms policy

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov criticized Armenia's Constitution and “militarization” during a press conference with Georgian counterpart Maka Botchorishvili.

Bayramov noted progress in Armenia-Azerbaijan peace talks and border delimitation process but accused Armenia of “maintaining territorial ambitions in its Constitution.”

“Revengeful tendencies, militaristic policies, and constitutional territorial claims by Armenia cast serious doubts on its intentions,” Bayramov stated.

He also praised Azerbaijan-Georgia relations.

Earlier, President Ilham Aliyev demanded that Armenia engage with the so-called “Western Azerbaijan” community, referring to Armenia’s territory, including Yerevan, as historically Azerbaijani. He outlined preconditions for a peace agreement, including changes to Armenia's Constitution and OSCE Minsk Group dissolution.
