Simonyan: government prioritizes building strong, modern army

PanARMENIAN.Net - Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, issued a congratulatory message on the 33rd anniversary of the Armenian Armed Forces, highlighting the army’s vital role in ensuring independence and security.

He stated that the government is “making every effort to build a modern, strong, and combat-ready army.”

“I congratulate everyone on the 33rd anniversary of the Armenian Armed Forces. Since its establishment, our army has faced numerous challenges and is now undergoing a process of development and reform. This is not an easy task, but our government has been and continues to be committed to ensuring that Armenia has a modern, strong, and capable army that serves as a guarantor and defender of the state’s independence, security, and sovereignty,” Simonyan said.

He expressed special gratitude to servicemen stationed at the borders, emphasizing that their unwavering service allows citizens to live and create in peace.

“My deepest respect to the memory of all the heroic soldiers of our army who sacrificed their lives for Armenia. Glory to the Armenian Army,” Simonyan concluded, wishing servicemen safe duty and peaceful skies.

On January 28, Armenia marked the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces.
