PM: Armenia gained sovereignty through defeat in war, says

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, speaking to the Armenian community in Washington, declared that despite the defeat in the 44-day war, Armenia gained the opportunity to have an independent and sovereign state, Auroranews.am reports.

"I would not want us to conclude from these analyses that the sacrifice of our fallen martyrs was in vain. I do not agree with that stance. These sacrifices were made for Armenia's independence and sovereignty, and now we must focus on making the most of that sacrifice," Pashinyan said.

On February 1, Nikol Pashinyan, accompanied by his wife, Anna Hakobyan, traveled to the U.S. to participate in the 5th annual International Religious Freedom Summit and the National Prayer Breakfast.
