Armenia, Iran discuss creation of joint industrial zones![]() February 22, 2025 - 13:44 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Economy, Edgar Zakaryan, who is currently on a working visit to Iran, attended the third Eurasia international exhibition. He met with Dehghan Dehnavy, Iran’s Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines, and Trade and head of the Trade Promotion Organization. Armenia’s Ambassador to Iran, Grigor Hakobyan, was also present at the meeting. The discussions focused on increasing bilateral trade volume, investment cooperation prospects, and the development of collaboration on the establishment of joint industrial zones in Armenia. Later, Edgar Zakaryan and Grigor Hakobyan participated in the opening ceremony of the "Eurasia" exhibition. The event featured speeches from Iran’s President, Masoud Pezeshkian, and senior officials from Eurasian Economic Union member states. ![]() ![]() Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision.
