Amendments proposed to law on eco-policemen’s service

PanARMENIAN.Net - During the National Assembly session on March 25, the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Ara Mkrtchyan, presented the proposed amendments to the law on eco-policemen’s service. He noted that the draft aims to ensure the social guarantee for eco-policemen and introduce the institution of monetary assistance.

"In case of death while performing service duties, a one-time monetary assistance will be provided to the family members of the deceased, as well as to the person recognized as having a disability," said Mkrtchyan. He also added that the government will be authorized to determine the amount and procedure for the one-time financial assistance provided in the case of death or disability recognition.

The co-reporter, Davit Danielyan, referring to the quality of eco-policemen’s service, mentioned that they take complex exams, and it is expected that the quality of eco-policemen’s service will improve as a result of this process.

The new law proposes a social guarantee and monetary assistance for eco-policemen, focusing on their families and individuals affected by disability or death during service.
