The works on display are by photographer Lidia Kasparian. The event was attended by Armenian Ambassador to France Arman Khachatryan, arrondissement mayor Alexandra Cordebard, and the artist herself. Laurence Patrice, Paris Deputy Mayor for Memory and Veterans Affairs, was also present, according to the Armenian Embassy in France. In his remarks, Ambassador Khachatryan emphasized the importance of such unique cultural initiatives in Paris that spotlight Armenia. He praised Lidia Kasparian’s photographic contributions, which have grown to include compelling depictions of Armenia’s landscapes and historical-cultural heritage in recent years. The exhibition showcases several dozen photographs that reflect Kasparian’s distinctive artistic style. Her father, renowned French-Armenian photographer Roger Kasparian—awarded the title “Best Eye of the 60s”—was a major influence on her work. Lidia made several trips to Armenia accompanied by him. The opening featured a musical performance by the French-Armenian group “Yerevan,” which performed pieces by Komitas and traditional Armenian folk songs. The exhibition runs through May 20. On May 7, the city hall will host a discussion where Lidia Kasparian will share her artistic journey and family story. ![]() ![]() Ara Aivazian said Azerbaijan continues the traditions of Turkey after seizing territories and forced Armenians out.
