Swedish ambassador outlines upcoming projects in Syunik

PanARMENIAN.Net - Syunik Governor Robert Ghukasyan thanked Swedish Ambassador to Armenia Patrik Svensson for his visit and Sweden’s continued interest in the region. He briefed the ambassador on recent developments across various sectors in the province since their last meeting.

Ambassador Svensson expressed particular interest in the region’s socio-economic initiatives and their progress, supported by public, private, and international investments.

He also presented several upcoming programs planned by various Swedish agencies.

Governor Ghukasyan highlighted infrastructure development projects, particularly the construction of the North-South Road segments passing through Syunik, describing it as a major undertaking.

The two sides also discussed internal political dynamics, foreign relations, security issues, and pathways to achieving lasting peace.

The ambassador reiterated that “supporting the development of civil society in Armenia remains a top priority for the Swedish government.”
