He announced the move on his Facebook page. To maintain a high professional standard, he stated, he has partnered with a colleague to establish a law firm. The firm will offer legal services in areas such as human rights, arbitration, business transactions, and other fields. On March 6, Kirakosyan announced his resignation from his governmental role, saying he wished to focus more on academic, scholarly, and professional work. Reports of Kirakosyan’s possible resignation had emerged amid discussions about Armenia dropping lawsuits against Azerbaijan in international courts. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
