Weightlifter Aleksandra Grigoryan wins junior world bronze

PanARMENIAN.Net - Aleksandra Grigoryan, representing Armenia at the Junior and Youth Weightlifting World Championships in Lima, Peru, won a bronze medal in the 55 kg weight class. She is coached by Kristine Petrosyan.

In the snatch, Grigoryan successfully lifted 85 kg, followed by 88 kg, according to the Armenian Weightlifting Federation.

In the clean and jerk, she lifted 116 kg, earning her the gold medal in that discipline. Her total of 204 kg secured the overall bronze medal in the junior competition.

The junior national team is coached by Melik Ghukasyan and Davit Muradyan; the youth team by Yervand Kirakosyan, and the women’s team by Taron Tomvasyan.
