The information was shared on the Facebook page of Hovik Avanesov, Ombudsman for the Cultural Heritage of the Armenian Highlands. “Satellite images dated March 12, 2025, document that the next target of Azerbaijan’s policy was the Mayraberd (Askeran) Memorial Complex and the tank monument dedicated to the Artsakh Liberation War, located on the left side of the road from Mayraberd to Tigranakert and Akna. Both acts of vandalism were carried out using heavy construction machinery,” the post stated.
