Irina Mazur, head of the UNICEF Regional Communications Office for Europe and Central Asia, confirmed the closure, according to 1news.az. Mazur noted that the office shutdown will be carried out gradually. "UNICEF will continue to work with Azerbaijani partners through its regional office and central headquarters," Mazur emphasized. She also mentioned that UNICEF has cooperated with the Azerbaijani government since 1993. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit.
