Armenian, Luxembourg FMs meet at Council of Europe![]() May 14, 2025 - 11:11 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met Luxembourg’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Xavier Bettel on May 13 during the Council of Europe’s ministerial session. They discussed expanding the friendly ties and mutually beneficial cooperation between Armenia and Luxembourg. The two sides also considered new initiatives aimed at deepening the partnership. Mirzoyan and Bettel exchanged views on developments within the European Union and in its neighboring regions. Mirzoyan outlined Armenia’s ongoing efforts to enhance its cooperation with the EU, emphasizing that signing a new Partnership Agenda will be a key step in deepening Armenia’s relations with EU member states. The foreign ministers also discussed recent international and regional developments amid growing geopolitical tensions. In the context of promoting stability in the South Caucasus, Mirzoyan presented Armenia’s efforts toward normalizing relations with neighboring countries. He reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to signing a peace and interstate relations agreement with Azerbaijan. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
