10 countries qualify from first Eurovision 2025 semi-final

PanARMENIAN.Net - Out of 15 participating countries, 10 have qualified for the final round of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, held on May 13 in Basel, Switzerland. The finalists are Norway, Albania, Sweden, Iceland, the Netherlands, Poland, San Marino, Estonia, Portugal, and Ukraine.

Slovenia, Belgium, Azerbaijan, Croatia, and Cyprus did not make it through the semi-final stage.

Spain and Italy, both members of Eurovision’s “Big Five,” performed as well. As founding countries of the contest, they automatically advance to the final. Switzerland, the winner of Eurovision 2024, is also directly placed in the final this year.

A short video message was delivered by Céline Dion, who represented Switzerland and won Eurovision in 1988, at the start of her music career.

Armenia’s representative, Pargev Vardanyan (stage name Parg), will perform the song “Survivor” in the second semi-final on May 15.
