Vegetable prices rise 28% in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to the Statistical Committee, Armenia’s consumer price index for January–April 2025 shows an overall inflation rate of 3.2%.

A significant price surge was observed in essential food categories. Fruit prices rose by 13.6%, vegetables by 28%, butter by 12.8%, and potatoes by 41.4%, as reported by Panorama.am .

Food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 5.2%, while alcoholic drinks and tobacco rose by 4.2%.

Notably, chocolate prices climbed by 10.9%, coffee by 17.3%, cocoa and chocolate powder by 13.9%, and transportation costs jumped by 25%.
