Тurkish FM to visit Moscow for key talks

PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will visit Moscow from May 25 to 27 at the invitation of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov for discussions covering a wide range of bilateral and international issues.

Ahead of the visit, the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized that Moscow welcomes the ongoing normalization process between Armenia and Turkey. This was noted in the context of broader Russian-Turkish relations.

“Cooperation in the South Caucasus will be discussed in detail, from unblocking transport routes to post-conflict regional recovery. Both countries aim for a stable and peaceful South Caucasus, which can be achieved through the 3+3 regional cooperation platform. Moscow welcomes the current process of normalizing Armenia-Turkey relations,” the ministry stated.

During the visit, the ministers will also discuss the situations in Libya, Syria, and the Black Sea region. They will exchange views on developments following the Istanbul talks between Russia and Ukraine. Ensuring navigation safety in the Black Sea will also be a key topic.
