Ararat-Armenia coach quits, cites lack of motivation

PanARMENIAN.Net - Vardan Minasyan and his coaching team—Artak Oseyan, Artur Mkrtchyan, and Denis Zmeu—are stepping down from their roles at Ararat-Armenia Football Club.

In a press meeting, Minasyan confirmed that the decision was his own and not entirely related to football, Aysor.am reported.

"I believe that beyond what a coach must have, there are two essential elements: motivation and emotions. At this moment, I lack both. This mainly concerns the domestic league. I don’t know how long it will last—six months, a year. If an offer comes from abroad, I might accept immediately," he said.

"My view relates to the domestic league, but it’s also tied to the condition of our country. It’s somewhat football-related, but more so about what’s happening in our nation. I can't remain unaffected. There’s a psychological aspect—no matter how much I try to focus on my work, I can’t ignore it. I live here, I worry, I love my country, and what I see doesn’t allow me to fully concentrate on my job," Minasyan added.

The club thanked Minasyan and his staff for their contributions.
