Armenian conscripts to get leave every 6 months![]() May 29, 2025 - 14:23 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - All conscripted soldiers will now be entitled to mandatory leave every six months. The government has approved a proposal to amend the Law on Military Service and the Status of Servicemen. Commenting on the change, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted that the amendment also grants conscripts two days of leave following their oath-taking ceremony, reports Radar.am . "Every conscript will be mandatorily granted leave every six months of service to ensure fairness. This way, no soldier is excluded from this right simply due to circumstance. Everyone will get leave twice a year," said Pashinyan. The length of leave will depend on the nature of the soldier’s duties: those in more demanding roles will receive 10 days, while others will get 7 days. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
