Police chief cites no resignation cause

PanARMENIAN.Net - Former Chief of Police Aram Hovhannisyan has submitted his resignation without citing any specific reason for leaving his post.

“I have submitted a request to be released from service,” Hovhannisyan wrote. “Over my more than 30 years in the police force, I’ve walked a long road alongside many of you—fighting crime, ensuring internal stability, upholding public order, and protecting the rights and safety of our citizens.”

He described his time in the police as a way of life, calling it a real school of life. He said the greatest reward was working with dedicated colleagues. “Together we faced many challenges and achieved significant accomplishments. With love and commitment, we passed on our knowledge and experience to younger staff,” he added.

Hovhannisyan expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Internal Affairs for entrusting him with such a critical role during a difficult period. He wished success and happiness to his colleagues.

Earlier, it was reported that the Prime Minister had signed a decree releasing Hovhannisyan from his position and ending his service in the police force.
