Armenian animation ‘Snake Soup’ selected for Annecy Festival![]() June 2, 2025 - 18:29 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia will represent the short animated film “Snake Soup” at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival that will take place from June 8 to 14. “Snake Soup” is the debut project of Bada Studio, created with financial support from Armenia’s Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports and the National Cinema Center of Armenia. Directed by Zakhar Demirchyan and produced by Raffi Movsisyan, this debut short has been included in the “Perspectives” short film competition section at Annecy, the world’s most prestigious animation film festival. The screenplay was co-written by Raffi Movsisyan and Zakhar Demirchyan. Emil Abrahamyan composed the music. The art team includes Daniel Grigoryan and Veronika Stepanyan, with Armine Harutyunyan as line producer. The story follows a soldier on the day of his deployment to the front line. Along the way, various incidents shape his perception of an idyllic reality.
