MP says Syunik residents see continued threats from Azerbaijan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Tigran Abrahamyan, Secretary of the "I Have Honor" faction in the National Assembly, stated that during his interactions with residents of Syunik, security concerns are consistently highlighted as the most urgent issue. He shared this on his Facebook page.

He noted that people "see that Azerbaijan continues to fire, threaten, and assert territorial claims, while the government responds to threats against its own country with indifference, silence, and incapacity."

"In Syunik, conversations with locals center around security issues. While broader discussions reveal many other challenges—from infrastructure to agriculture—security remains clearly the most urgent concern.

No matter what the government says, whether lies or promises, people have their own indicators to gauge safety, which are reflected in their daily lives and are plainly visible.

And people see that Azerbaijan continues to fire, threaten, and make territorial claims, while the government continues to respond to threats against its own country with indifference, silence, and incapacity," he emphasized.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated against a young Armenian man in Goris for pointing an air gun in the direction of Azerbaijani soldiers.
