Azerbaijanis land in Yerevan amid Iran airspace closures![]() June 13, 2025 - 18:53 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Several Armenian citizens and ethnic Armenians landed in Baku Airport while Azerbaijani nationals arrived in Yerevan, following regional flight diversions. The National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia has reported that, due to the closure of the airspace over Iran and neighboring countries, several international flights have been forced to land at Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan and at airports in other regional countries. "As a result of this situation, Armenian citizens and ethnic Armenians have ended up at Baku Airport, the capital of Azerbaijan. At the same time, Azerbaijani nationals have landed at Zvartnots Airport due to the same circumstances," the NSS stated. It emphasized that Armenian state institutions are undertaking consistent measures to address the situation. Israeli Air Force strikes targeted at least six military bases near Tehran. Iranian state media reported that Israel struck residential areas in Tehran and other cities. Notably, a strike reportedly hit the headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Tehran.
