No Armenian casualties reported in Iran or Israel

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian authorities confirmed there are no reports of Armenian casualties in the escalating Iran-Israel conflict.

The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that, as of now, no Armenian citizens have been identified among the victims of the recent attacks in Iran and Israel, reports Azatutyun.

The ministry added that the respective embassies in both countries have released statements, sharing contact information to maintain constant communication with Armenian citizens.

It also emphasized that Armenian authorities remain in continuous contact with accredited diplomatic missions and official bodies in the host countries.

One of the missiles fired by Israel at Iran exploded near the premises of the Armenian-language “Aliq” daily newspaper in Tehran.

Editor-in-chief Aram Shahnazarian told Factor.am that the office’s windows were shattered by the blast, though the building itself did not suffer structural damage.

"It was a brutal, inhumane attack. The building targeted was completely destroyed, and there were civilian casualties. Fortunately, none of our editorial staff were injured, nor were there any minor injuries, since no one was present at the time. Even if they had been, they would likely have remained unharmed," said Shahnazarian.

He noted that the explosion disrupted internet access, preventing the newspaper’s print edition from being distributed for a few days.

According to Shahnazarian, restoration work is set to begin on June 16. Meanwhile, the newspaper's website and Instagram page remain active.

On the morning of June 13, Israel launched strikes on Iranian territory, targeting military and nuclear-related facilities. Iran later responded with a new wave of missile launches toward Israel. The exchanges continue as both sides persist in mutual bombardments.
