Iran asserts legal right to atomic research

PanARMENIAN.Net - President of the Islamic Republic Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Tehran has a legitimate right to use nuclear energy and conduct research in the field.

“We have the right to use atomic energy and (to conduct – Ed.) research (in the nuclear field – Ed.) for the benefit of society. No one has the right to take this right away from us,” IRIB state broadcaster quoted Pezeshkian as saying.

He also stressed that Iran has never pursued war and called on the people to remain united in the face of external aggression. According to the president, the United States violated international law by allowing Israel to attack Iran.
