Armenia Joins Global 100-Year Celebration of Chaplin’s The Gold Rush

PanARMENIAN.Net - On Thursday, 26 June 2025, audiences in Armenia will join a historic global celebration marking the 100th anniversary of Charles Chaplin’s cinematic treasure, The Gold Rush. A one-night-only exclusive 4K restored re-release will screen simultaneously at 7:00 PM in five cities across the country, aligning with the international anniversary event.

Organized by KAZM NGO in collaboration with MK2 (France), this cultural occasion brings the restored version of Chaplin’s 1925 classic to Armenian audiences as part of a worldwide tribute to one of the most influential films in cinematic history.

Premiered at the Cannes Classics Official Selection, this beautifully restored 4K version of The Gold Rush reintroduces Chaplin’s beloved Little Tramp to a new generation, preserving the timeless humor, adventure, and pathos that made it a global phenomenon.

“This is the picture I want to be remembered by,” Chaplin famously said—now, 100 years later, it returns to the big screen to do just that.

Screenings Will Take Place at the following cinemas:

· Yerevan – KINOMOSKVA

· Gyumri – OLYMPIC Cinema

· Vanadzor – KINOLORI

· Kapan – S’UNIQUE Cinema

· Kajaran – KAJARAN Cinema
