He made this statement during a session of the National Assembly’s Economic Affairs Committee while discussing the 2024 state budget execution. Papoyan reminded that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already issued its official position, stressing the importance of establishing peace in the region. He emphasized that stability is critically important for Armenia and neighboring countries, Sputnik Armenia reports. “We are facing difficulties with both imports and exports, not only to Iran but also through its territory. These are factors that are nearly beyond our control, but we hope the conflict will be resolved and we will once again be able to transport goods through friendly Iran as before,” said the minister. On the morning of June 13, Israel launched a large-scale military operation against Iran. Israeli authorities stated the goal was to eliminate threats to national security, alleging that Iran was nearing a critical threshold in developing nuclear weapons.
