Armenia reports no border issues with Iran

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia confirms that its border with Iran is functioning normally and that there are no current disruptions.

Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan has addressed concerns over possible delays in the construction of the North-South highway due to the escalating Iran-Israel conflict. He explained that while the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure has been in more active contact with the contractor, his own impression is that the situation "should not be affected."

“When the conflict escalated, the first thing I thought about was the construction of the North-South highway,” Hovhannisyan said, according to 1lurer.am .

“In my opinion, it should not suffer any setbacks, because we are still at the stage of earthworks, and there’s not much that needs to be imported from Iran at this point. Besides, there are currently no issues at the Armenia-Iran border—everything is functioning normally,” he noted.

On the night of June 13, Israeli air forces attacked at least six military bases near Tehran. Iranian state media reported that Israel also struck residential areas in Tehran and other cities, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps headquarters. Iran’s armed forces said that the Israeli strikes would be met with devastating retaliation. In response to Israel’s attacks, the Revolutionary Guard launched “True Promise 3” operations following a statement by Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei promising a tough response to Israel.
