Beijing’s embassies and consulates have assisted Chinese citizens since hostilities began, though details on the specific measures remain undisclosed. As a transit route for evacuation from Iran, China is also considering Armenia, reports Factor.am . Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated at a press conference that China is in contact with Iran, Israel, and other parties to pursue a ceasefire. “China urges all relevant parties, especially those with significant influence on Israel, to accept their responsibilities and immediately take steps to calm the situation and prevent escalation and spread of the conflict,” he said, without naming any country explicitly. In recent days, Chinese embassies in Iran and Israel have issued multiple warnings, advising nationals to heighten security precautions and closely monitor developments. In Israel, citizens were advised to leave via land, preferably through Jordan’s direction. China’s embassy in Iran posted a similar notice on its official WeChat page, noting that air travel remains suspended and land border checkpoints may soon close. It listed several evacuation directions, including Turkey, Armenia, and Turkmenistan. Chinese President Xi Jinping, during a meeting with the President of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan, emphasized the urgency of reducing tensions. According to Xinhua, he called on “all sides to work toward de‑escalation and prevent further intensification.” On the night of June 13, Israeli air forces struck at least six military bases near Tehran. Iranian state media reported attacks on residential urban areas in Tehran and other cities, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps headquarters.
