Armenian parliament approves 2024 state budget report

PanARMENIAN.Net - The National Assembly has approved the draft decision on confirming the annual report on the implementation of the Republic of Armenia’s 2024 state budget.

A total of 63 MPs voted in favor, one abstained, and there were no votes against.

Parliamentary factions expressed differing views on the execution of the main financial document.

Speaking on behalf of the opposition “Hayastan” faction, MP Tadevos Avetisyan criticized the government’s policies. Referring to recent years, he argued that contrary to promises, the population’s standard of living has not improved but worsened.

Head of the ruling “Civil Contract” faction Hayk Konjoryan responded to the opposition’s criticisms with his own arguments.

Concluding his speech, he confirmed that the “Civil Contract” faction would vote in favor of the report on the 2024 state budget performance.

In a related report, Tavush Governor Hayk Ghalumyan presented the region’s implemented programs and budget performance for the reporting year.
