MP: Iran is a friend, treat its citizens with care![]() June 20, 2025 - 13:00 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Tigran Abrahamyan, secretary of the “I Have Honor” faction in Armenia’s National Assembly, wrote on Facebook that the recent influx of Iranians into Armenia—driven by the escalating Iran-Israel conflict—has sparked public debate, ranging from transportation logistics to national security concerns. He stressed that Iran is a friendly nation and that Armenia must demonstrate appropriate treatment toward Iranians arriving in the country. “Managing the flow of people involves both security screenings and addressing humanitarian needs,” Abrahamyan noted. “Although for some, Armenia serves only as a transit country en route from Iran to third nations, many will temporarily remain in Armenia until the situation stabilizes. Iran has always shown great respect toward Armenians living there. As a friendly nation, we must respond with due care toward Iranians here,” he added. Israel and Iran continue exchanging strikes multiple times daily. Tel Aviv vows to continue its campaign until Iran’s nuclear program is fully dismantled, while Tehran threatens further missile attacks unless Israel ceases its bombings. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
