Nigeria thanks Armenia for evacuation assistance

PanARMENIAN.Net - Lead: Nigeria’s Foreign Ministry has expressed gratitude to Armenia for significant progress in jointly evacuating its citizens from Iran, underscoring diplomatic solidarity.

Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it has made significant progress in cooperation with Armenia on evacuating its citizens from Iran, according to a press release cited by Armenpress via Report Circle.

The collaboration began following a meeting between Nigeria’s acting chargé d’affaires in Iran Abdulrashid Umar Lawal and Armenia’s Acting Director for Middle East and African Affairs Levon Petrosyan at the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Nigeria’s embassy in Iran requested Armenia’s help in ensuring a safe transit for its citizens, and Armenia gladly agreed to provide assistance. The statement emphasized that this gesture underlines the importance of humanitarian cooperation and international solidarity during crises.

It confirmed that Nigeria values its strong diplomatic ties with Armenia and looks forward to further strengthening relations based on mutual respect and global solidarity.
