Devices, documents seized in search at MP Sargsyan’s home

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian MP Arthur Sargsyan's home was searched amid ongoing probes; authorities seized his children's gadgets and several documents, he confirmed.

Armenian law enforcement agencies conducted a search early on June 25 at the home of National Assembly deputy Arthur Sargsyan, a member of the opposition “Hayastan” faction.

According to Aysor.am , police confiscated several items from the lawmaker’s residence, including the mobile phones and tablet of his children, as well as a number of documents.

Sargsyan commented that such actions, targeting opposition figures, are indicative of the government's fear. “This is nothing new for me—I’ve been through these processes several times. Whatever they do, they can't silence us,” the deputy stated.

Earlier that morning, law enforcement had begun searches at the homes of supporters of the “Holy Struggle” movement. Armenia’s Investigative Committee announced that members and leaders of this group had allegedly been planning terrorist activities and actions aimed at seizing power in the country.

On June 24, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan shared an article from civic.am titled “The Opposition’s Coup Plan” on his Facebook page, commenting: “This process will go down in history as the ‘failed coup of the traitors.’”
