Archbishop Bagrat: evil is living its final days

PanARMENIAN.Net - Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, leader of the Sacred Struggle movement currently held at the Yerevan-Kentron facility of the National Security Service, has sent a message to the people through his lawyers.

“My dearly beloved people,

First, I sincerely bow in gratitude to you all for your support and solidarity, and I ask your forgiveness for any inconvenience caused.

A regime of evil founded on lies and deceit can only act through persecution and silencing of those who fight for truth and justice, those who value their homeland, their state, and their honor. There is no greater joy than being persecuted for the sake of the Fatherland and honor. It is an honor for us to walk this path. Regardless of the court’s ruling, our decision remains unchanged: to liberate our wounded mother—Mother Armenia—and to restore our honor and joy.

Do not grieve, do not despair, do not doubt, and do not waver. Evil is living its final days, and we will create a new dawn for our lives.

Yes, spiritual Armenia must prevail over this 'new' Armenia; the tricolor over black and white; the temple over the street.

Because our dreams and hopes are greater than the limited number of days in our lives.

These are the happiest days of my life, because we—myself and you—have been entrusted with the mission of building our House and realizing the vision of our Promised Land. Our victory is inevitable...

P.S. Attorney Sergey Harutyunyan also informed that ruling party MPs are spreading false claims, alleging that I confirmed the authenticity of audio recordings circulated by the regime during a court session. The regime of lies and deceit can do nothing but spread lies and deceit. But as I’ve said, the end of lies is near. Everything will be fine,” the message reads.

On the morning of June 25, law enforcement began searches at the homes of “Sacred Struggle” movement supporters. The Investigative Committee announced that movement members and leaders had “planned to carry out terrorist actions and seize power in Armenia.” Later, it was confirmed that Bishop Bagrat had been detained for two months. The committee requested pre-trial detention for 16 individuals; the court granted detention for nine, while a decision on one is expected June 26.

On June 24, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan shared an article titled “Opposition’s Coup Plan” from civic.am , commenting: “This process will go down in history as the ‘traitors’ failed coup.’”
