Аrmenia, Аngola explore diamond, mining cooperation

PanARMENIAN.Net - During his working visit to Spain, Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan met with Angolan President João Lourenço to discuss the expansion of bilateral sectoral ties.

The two leaders explored areas of mutual interest that could serve as the foundation for deeper cooperation. Discussions focused on the potential of information technology, mining, diamond processing, and related sectors, as well as ways to realize this potential.

President Lourenço expressed Angola’s readiness to promote cooperation in the diamond industry, noting Armenia’s established traditions and significant potential in the field.

Both sides also emphasized the importance of the planned launch of a TUMO Center in Angola, viewing it as a valuable contribution to enhancing sectoral collaboration.

Additionally, the two presidents agreed on the importance of boosting interagency consultations as a means of strengthening bilateral relations and effectively coordinating joint programs.
