Iranian President to attend intl summit in Stepanakert![]() July 1, 2025 - 14:07 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian will take part in the upcoming Organisation of Economic Cooperation summit to be held in Stepanakert on July 3–4, reports Haqqin.az . Azerbaijani media said Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will also attend the event. Earlier, investigative journalist Lindsey Snell, speaking on the state of Armenian material heritage in Nagorno‑Karabakh, noted that Stepanakert’s streets are filled with items from Armenian homes and that numerous businesses, Armenian restaurants, and shops have been handed over to Azerbaijanis, who have claimed them as their own: “Every Armenian home has been vacated. And these homes are already allocated for Azerbaijani resettlers. Armenian businesses are now being passed to Azerbaijanis. Even apartment buildings are being turned into university dormitories for Azerbaijani students.” ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
