No official comment has been issued by any of the parties. According to a post by CaucasusWarReport on X, the deal was made during Pashinyan’s one‑day working visit to Turkey on June20, and—if accurate—Russia would have no control over the corridor, effectively being excluded. The agreement is seen as “a major regional development, with the corridor expected to enhance the Trans‑Caspian and North‑South international transport routes and bolster Eurasian supply chains and logistical connectivity.” Pashinyan met with Istanbul’s Armenian community and emphasized: “There will be no ‘Zangezur corridor’, only a ‘crossroads of peace.’ ‘Let’s open borders and live, allowing others to live,’ he said. ![]() ![]() The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington.
