Prosecutor refuses to comment on Catholicos case![]() July 7, 2025 - 18:20 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan said she would not make any forecasts regarding actions against the Catholicos of All Armenians. Her statement came in response to a question from Arthur Khachatryan, a member of the Armenia faction, during a parliamentary session, reports Radar Armenia. "I have not and will not make predictive comments about any individual. The question came up twice regarding a certain MP. One thing is clear: if someone’s involvement in these actions is substantiated, we will exercise our prosecutorial powers. If this is confirmed beyond reasonable doubt, we will press charges. But I will not make any anticipatory judgments about any individual," she stated. Earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook page that "no area within the enlarged Vagharshapat community can be closed to law enforcement activities, especially considering that, thanks to Ktrich and several others, these areas are not off-limits for adultery." The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
