Аrmenian players advance in FIDE Women’s World Cup

PanARMENIAN.Net - Grandmaster Elina Danielyan and International Master Lilit Mkrtchyan have advanced to the second round of the 2025 FIDE Women’s World Cup, according to the Armenian Chess Federation.

Danielyan defeated Nadezhda Antonova of Tajikistan 2–0, while Mkrtchyan won 1.5–0.5 against Algeria’s Lina Nassri.

In the next round, Danielyan will face Bulgarian Grandmaster Antoaneta Stefanova (rating 2399), and Mkrtchyan will play Poland’s Aleksandra Malcewska (rating 2403).

Round 2 begins on July 9 at 15:00.
