U.S. does not deny role in Armenia-Azerbaijan talks![]() July 9, 2025 - 16:07 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The U.S. State Department spokesperson Andrea Bruce, addressing Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s comment about the possibility of a “positive outcome” in the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process, did not deny U.S. involvement in mediation efforts. “That’s a good question, and we’ll share more details later, but it was certainly significant enough for the Secretary to personally mention it. We are pleased to have participated in several agreements, ceasefire arrangements, and confirmed changes. The Secretary made a point of emphasizing that, and when we have additional information, we will let you know,” Bruce stated. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has expressed hope that a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan will soon be signed, though he provided no further details. He made the statement during a briefing at the White House. According to Rubio, one of the foreign policy achievements of the Trump administration will be “a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan.” ![]() ![]() The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington.
