Armenia, UAE explore deeper economic collaboration![]() July 11, 2025 - 14:58 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan met with UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed in Abu Dhabi to discuss economic cooperation and investment opportunities. Mirzoyan shared the details in a post on X. “While accompanying Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Abu Dhabi, I had a good conversation with my counterpart Abdullah bin Zayed on several key issues. We particularly discussed ways to enhance economic cooperation and investments. Regional peace and connectivity can foster a more favorable environment,” the post said. On July 10, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev held a five-hour meeting in Abu Dhabi, where they addressed various aspects of normalizing Armenia-Azerbaijan interstate relations. Both sides reaffirmed that bilateral negotiations are the most effective format for addressing all related issues and agreed to continue this result-oriented dialogue. Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision.
