Bayramov briefs Georgian president on Armenia talks![]() July 23, 2025 - 13:05 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - During a meeting in Tbilisi, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov briefed Georgian President Mikheil Khavelashvili on the ongoing normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. He also informed the Georgian side about “construction and reconstruction activities” being carried out in territories under Azerbaijani control. The two officials stressed the importance of reinforcing peace and cooperation in the South Caucasus. They also exchanged views on the strategic Azerbaijan–Georgia partnership, discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation, regional security, and other issues of mutual interest. On July 10, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met in Abu Dhabi to discuss the normalization of bilateral relations. They reaffirmed that direct negotiations remain the most effective format and agreed to continue results-oriented dialogue. The meeting lasted five hours. The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington. The CSTO budget for the current year requires adjustments due to the refusal of Yerevan to pay their share of contributions. Six total incidents have burned 19 old-growth trees.
