Pashinyan briefs Pezeshkian on Washington talks results![]() August 11, 2025 - 14:50 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a phone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to discuss peace and cooperation. Pashinyan presented the outcomes of the August 8 negotiations in Washington, emphasizing the “opportunities that peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan could bring to the region.” He underlined that “regional transport routes will operate within the principles of territorial integrity, sovereignty, jurisdiction, and on a reciprocal basis.” The prime minister thanked the Iranian president for giving an objective assessment of the Washington agreements and highlighted the importance of Pezeshkian’s upcoming visit to Armenia. Pezeshkian earlier stated that “this corridor is not what the media has exaggerated about,” adding that “Iran’s demands have been met.” Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
